This past weekend i collaborated with THE PARK AVENUE ARMORY and directed a series of short films surrounding a historic first ever POW WOW the Lenape Nation has had in New York. To give you an idea of what "the first ever" means, the Lenape were the original settlers of the island of manhattan. So to be involved in the first ever is a great honor. Some may know, and some may not, but i started shooting pow wows over 20 years ago. My first was in Baltimore, and from there i went on to set up my studio at several other pow wows in Connecticut, New York and Arizona. This weekends session was both video and still content, but primarily added high production value video content to the series. Over the coming weeks i will be able to share more of the actual content but for now here is a sneak peek of what it looked like behind the scenes.
